Baseball 2025 Spring - Spring 2025

Single-A Division Baseball

• Appropriate for 6 and 7 year old's as well as some younger 8 year old's in some situations.   
• This division is typically coach-pitch but often includes limited kid-pitch towards the end of the season.
• No stealing.  No extra-base hits unless the ball lands in the outfield. 
• Some limited inter-town games may be played.

Double AA Division

• Appropriate for stronger 7-year-old's and primarily 8 year olds.  
• This division has primarily used player pitch with some coach pitch to increase the quality and speed of game play.
• Limited stealing and extra base hits are allowed.
• Division typically plays both other in-town teams and inter-town.

Triple AAA

• Typically 9-10-year-old's, with some  11 year old's depending on division/team sizes and skill levels on a particular year., 
• 8's can enter the AAA draft upon request.  
• 12's may request to stay in AAA due to certain circumstances
• Players should attend player evaluation before the season.
• Draft league.  Those not drafted will be placed in the AA division.

Majors

• Draft league - coaches select players using a draft format.
• Primarily 11-12 years old's with many 10's.  
• 9's may enter the major draft upon request.
• Players should attend player evaluation before the season.

Senior League

• 13+ years old
• Plays at Peck street field (not Martin Street) as a home field.
• This is typically inter-town, with some games played in Dighton or nearby towns.
• Practices begin in late May and season runs June thru end of July.

Softball 2025 Spring - Spring 2025

Futures Division Softball

• Softball Futures division is open to girls of ages 5-7
• Softball Futures is coach pitch. 
• No score is kept.

Freshman Division Softball

• Appropriate for 8-10 years old's.
• Players are chosen via a draft.
• This division is a combination of coach pitch and player pitch.
• There is limited stealing, and extra base hits are allowed for balls hit to the outfield.
• Division typically plays both other in-town teams and inter-town.

Sophomore Division Softball

• Draft league - coaches select players using the draft format.
• Primarily 11-14 years old's with some 10 year old's.
• This division is  player pitch.
• Stealing and Base advancement per standard softball rules.
• Division typically plays both other in-town teams and inter-town.

T-Ball Spring 2025 - Spring 2025

T-Ball : 

• T-Ball is open to both boys and girls starting at age 4*.
• A child may register to play T-Ball if he/she was 4 years old as of September 1st of the previous year.
• T-ball is appropriate for 4-5 year old’s as well as younger/smaller, first-time playing 6-year-olds.
• Hit from a "T." Some limited coach pitch in the second half of the season based on player progress.

What you will need:

• Helmet with facemask (RYBSA requires facemasks in all divisions)
• Bat
• Glove
• Suggested but not required;
• Baseball pants
• Cleats
