Equipment Guidelines

These are the general equipment guidelines to participate in RYBSA.  Each year a specific set of division guidelines will be shared with coaches and will supersede this when necessary for a specific division.  However, these basic elements are unlikely to change and be shared to help new players and parents procure the right items before the season begins. 

1.  All players must wear batting helmets with chin straps and face masks (cages).  These must be worn while at bat and running the bases. Helmets must be used during practice as well. 
2.  Molded baseball cleats. Metal Cleats are not allowed. (Sneakers ok for T-ball youngsters.) 
3. Baseball pants. 
4. Team Shirts, Hats, and Socks will be provided by RYBSA. 
5. Age-appropriate fielders glove. 
6. An appropriate size/weight bat.  For baseball divisions beyond teeball, all bats must be stamped "USA Baseball"  (with the exception of non-laminated wood bats which do not require the stamp)
